“Making Every Bit Count: From Psychoacoustics to the Technologies Enabling the Digital Music Revolution,” will explore how advances in psychoacoustics and signal processing came together to transform digital music, making it possible to deliver high-quality audio using a fraction of the data previously required. It traces how these advances answered a fundamental question — what do we really need to preserve in a sound? — and, in so doing, helped enable mobile music and today’s streaming services that reshaped how we experience music.
This Heyser Lecture is open to all Registrants with all badge types.
